Special Cases

Some of the aniamls that come into CARE need special treatment.

Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim was found in November in the field north of one of the CARE member's house while she was walking her dogs. The Vet thinks he was tossed from a car. Thus far, his medical bill is already over $700, and he is recuperating from an amputated leg and tail.

Sadie

Sadie is a dachound flood victim - between 11 and 13 years old - from Columbus Animal Control. Neighbors rescued her and another dog and got them to the shelter. The owners never called to check on them but the shelter would not adopt them out because the Mayor had promised that all animals that were brought to the shelter from the flood could stay as long as needed. They were finally able to release the two dogs Dec. 31. CARE got her a few weeks later and took her to the vet- who had to pull the 5 teeth she had left PLUS take care of an infection that had eaten through her jaw, so she had one (maybe two) broken jaws that the vet wired together. One of the CARE members has her right now and is helping her get back to health. We will have a very expensive vet bill from her!

And many others...

We are also treating 2 Heartworm positive dogs right now and a third just finished her last treatment ($300-400 each).

Any assistance / donations for these special cases would be greatly apprecieated. CARE is a strictly non-profit volunteer agency, and we can use all the help we can get!

Donations to any of these special cases are greatly apprecieated, and tax-deductible.

Help us help them by donating.

Thank you!
